The Tiger Sports Shop has announced a collaboration with #24 Nolan Turner, of the Clemson University Football Team. With the new Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) initiative now allowing for collegiate athletes, they are pleased to be working with Nolan in a partnership for the current football season.
The Tiger Sports Shop, with two locations in Clemson, SC, is the #1 brick and mortar retailer of Clemson licensed products in the USA according to the Collegiate Licensing Company. It was founded in 1974 by Coach I. M. Ibrahim of Clemson Soccer fame, and his family continues to provide “Everything Clemson for the Clemson Fan.”
Nolan Turner, a senior safety on the Clemson University football team, is from Vestavia Hills, Alabama. He earned his degree in Financial Management and is in his sixth year of eligibility at Clemson. Nolan’s father, Kevin, played football with Dabo Swinney at the University of Alabama. In this year alone, Nolan has had 41 tackles, 1 interception, 1 sack, and 1 forced fumble.
Julie Ibrahim, the owner of The Tiger Sports Shop, says this of Nolan: “Nolan is a tremendous young man with lots of talent who has faced much adversity and emerged a winner. It has been a pleasure working with him on NIL photo shoots and radio advertising production. He is a natural. We are pleased to be able to finally work with a college athlete in this new NIL initiative, and I can’t think of a better way to start than with Nolan. I can still see him in my mind’s eye intercepting the imminent touchdown by Ohio State in the Fiesta Bowl in 2019 to win the game and advance! What a spectacular Clemson moment!”
